Sycamore House

At Sycamore House, we are dedicated to providing a high standard of care that is both ambitious and child-centred. Our focus is on ensuring the safety of young people while helping them grow and achieve their full potential.
We are committed to making a positive difference in every child’s life. We support them in understanding and coping with the effects of trauma and abuse, while helping them build resilience and develop essential life skills. Whether they are returning home, transitioning to a new placement, or preparing for independent living, we are here to support them every step of the way.
Our aim is to empower young people to take charge of their lives and make positive choices for their future. We believe that engaging them in enjoyable and meaningful activities reduces the likelihood of negative behaviours and choices.
To achieve this, we implement structured activity and reward programmes tailored to each young person’s interests. These programmes provide opportunities to build friendships within positive, age-appropriate peer groups, helping to prevent involvement in anti-social behaviour.
Sycamore House provides a safe and supportive home for young people aged 11-17 who face emotional and behavioural challenges, often stemming from complex trauma and attachment issues. We can accommodate up to four young people at a time and welcome both male and female residents.
